a/s/l?

27/girl/3 miles outside hogsmeade.
i am a twenty-seven year old lady with the sense of humor of a twelve year old boy and the emotional maturity of a blueberry scone.
i grew up on the deadly combination of the internet, joss whedon, and terrible vampire novels. i was a hipster before being a hipster was cool. i have a theory about how i inadvertently turned harry potter fandom into a bunch of crazy snapewives by trying my hand at being “normal” for a couple of years in college. i am one of those people who dropped everything and moved 800 miles to live with a friend i had never met in real life when i was 22. it’s all worked out pretty well for me so far, except for the snapewives.
things that row my boat: indie folk, books (about vampires, magic, teenagers, music, etc), unicorns, accordions, pete wentz’s stupid face.
tv shows i am currently watching: sherlock, doctor who, castle, white collar, psych, criminal minds, project runway, how i met your mother, merlin, game of thrones, girls
books i am currently loving: the divergent series by veronica roth, every word john green has ever committed to print, the gentleman bastard sequence by scott lynch, tigana by guy gavriel kay, the parasol protectorate series by gail carriger, all of the tortall books by tamora pierce
bands i am currently obsessed with: damion suomi and the minor prophets, jenny owen youngs, los campesinos!, kevin devine, matt pond pa, of monsters and men, bess rogers
hobbies: crafting (sewing, painting, baking, cooking, anything that involves glitter), going to concerts, mainlining television shows on netflix, giggling, making ridiculous plans that i will never follow through on, spending too much time on the internet, being incredibly married with my roommate
fictional people i identify with way too much: sirius black, kara thrace, and pete wentz. they give me all the feelings. (shut up, pete totally counts.)
i don’t use capital letters because i believe in equality for all letters. i love sci-fi/fantasy but have never seen anything with “star” in the title (unless you count battlesheep galactica, which i clearly do not). i firmly believe that dragon*con is the best possible thing you can do if you have a spare $300 laying around. i am a. and a skeptic and have many unpopular fannish opinions, an alarming number of which involve incest. also one time i was eaten by a dinosaur. let’s be friends!
